Flier Quality water offers many different water treatment systems including Electrodeionization. There are situations where your RO system is not able to filter the different mineral ions and you need an advanced water filtration system like EDI. We can work with you and your team to optimize performance with EDI.
What is Electrodeionization?
Electrodeionization (EDI) is a form of high purity water treatment technology. It replaces the use of portable mixed bed deionization. EDI uses a small amount of electricity to continuously regenerate the resin. Traditional mixed bed deionization requires exchange by your local service provider. The service provider then has to regenerate that resin using harsh chemicals.
EDI is preferred over mixed bed ion exchange in places with high volume purified water usage, and frequent need for traditional mixed bed exchanges. At Flier’s Quality Water, we offer EDI (Electrodeionization) designed to optimize performance and minimize maintenance.

Optimize Performance with EDI
One of the biggest benefits of an electrodeionization system is the consistent operation it allows. With portable mixed bed tanks, you may need to take the equipment offline even when crucial water is needed, but with EDI systems, you can achieve consistently high water output around the clock.
At Flier’s Quality Water, we understand how important waste discharge is to industrial plants. EDI concentrate waste is pH neutral, resulting in zero waste neutralization for operators. The waste stream is usually better quality water than the facility city water feed, so 100% can be recovered and reused. Don’t let an opportunity to have higher quality water go to waste without talking to us and getting some water treatment design advice from Flier’s.
The Fliers team is ready to answer any questions you might have about your water treatment needs. Reach out to us and let us know how we can help you optimize performance with EDI.
