Filters are critical and essential to protect your water filtration system. They are the most cost-effective component used in water filtration. Because there are so many options, it can be difficult to find the proper filter for your application.
VARIABLES TO CONSIDER:
Pre Filters: Prefilters are normally used to trap sediments and other particulates before they can clog and damage other water treatment components, most notably RO systems. Typically, general use, utility style filters are used in this application.
Vent Filters: Vent filters keep airborne contaminants out of tanks that hold purified water. A well-designed vent filter will trap particulates as small as 0.2 microns.
Post Filters: Post filtration uses absolute rated filters to provide filtration from 0.45 to 0.005 microns — making them highly effective at filtering bacteria and endotoxins. They are used as final filtration for the most demanding applications.
